Art Works - March 2012! Part 1

i apologize that some of these works are "different" from some of my earlier works. i tried experimenting with new techniques. i also apologize for some of the less original titles. thank you to all of my fans for your support

"bovine burglar" is the beginning of a black and white motif of mine. its really quite dismal and sad. just like how there are sad songs to listen to when you've had a bad day, now there is b&w art by yours truly for those days instead. the healthier, more effective alternative.

it was a cute teddy bear until i added the drugs, money, and pole dancer...

straying slightly from the animals, "arsonist on the loose" is so symbolic of my life--it is burning down in flames, with seemingly no possibility of being saved any time soon.

lmfao.

"wilted flower" really pulls at the heartstrings. so artsy with the b&w.

again, symbolic of my life.

"pool passion" tells the story of a swimmer's romance with a lifeguard during pool class.

ms. titus is a substitute teacher. she was being a stickler about the classwork and not talking. i didnt appreciate her attitude so i drew a picture of her.

Art Works - February 2012

this blog post truly does not do these artworks as much justice as they deserve. i slaved over these for hours in class and this blog post is a very superficial glance at some great masterpieces that will be worth millions one day.

"questioning camel" was just a quick sketch of a camel... turned out not as good as i hoped, so i didnt feel like giving him a background.
"grieving gorilla" looks extremely realistic, i know. but he is grieving due to environmental reasons. he is losing his home to deforestation.

one of many environmentally-friendly art pieces.
self-explanatory..

its a lady ladybug.
this work was meant to highlight the absurdity of stereotypes against women. the first of many feminist works of mine.
 "jungle cat without a jungle"
my greatest masterpiece of february. keeping the environmental motif, the jungle cat is sad due to deforestation.

 i like this one.
note the unique nature of each individual snowflake. also notice his brethren in the beautiful background.
"sanguine penguĂn" is a breathtakingly remarkable work.
critics will be raving about this one.
i know... its beautiful.
"surprised squidward" is a picture of squidward tentacles surprised.

for all of my fans and followers worldwide, i love spongebob. it is one of my favorite shows of all time.

Art Works - Jan 2012 Part 2!!

so this week while my teachers were reviewing for midterms in class, i decided it would be a good idea to not pay attention and draw instead...

"Antsy Aardvark" is a cross between an aardvark and an anteater. i didnt really know what either one actually looked like, so this is my attempt at some kind of cross-breed.

"Puff Daddy" is a picture of a single, puffer fish father of two. His children look like hedgehogs with gills and fins.
He is also a rapper and singer, with hit songs "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down" and "I'll Be Missing You."

"A Cute Acupunturist" is a picture of an adorable, cuddly porcupine. i felt like the baby puffer fish looked like porcupines, so i thought i would be good at drawing porcupines. ha... i was gravely mistaken.

all of these pictures have such lame backgrounds and settings. i'll have to work on that.

Art Works - Jan 2012

as you can tell from the blog post's title, these are masterpieces of art created by myself. when i become a viral internet sensation, you can tell everyone that you knew about me before i became famous (like Justin Bieber).

this artwork is titled "Splat." it is my rendition of a giant squid inking.

some have asked why he is inking? what is scaring him?
truthfully, it's your face.

i like to call this work "Electric Relaxation" (courtesy of Ethan Whitener).

no, for the millionth time, it is not an attempt to copy "Jellyfish Fields" from Spongebob in any way. it's just a bunch of jellyfish in a kelp field.

this is the first of two snake illustrations. this was supposed to be an anaconda in the jungle when i first started drawing, but that didnt really happen.

notice the fungi on the tree--such beautiful detail.

no, this is not the garden of eden. it's just a snake in a tree staring down a purple bird.

this is a beautiful image of my other snake drawing, a diamondback eating a lizard comfortably under the shade of a red rock in Arizona.

take note of the intense saguaro on the left.

the setting was slightly inspired by 127 hours.

"Under the Sea" is an image of smaller creatures in the sea that are often overlooked, such as shrimp, seahorses, sea stars, sea urchins, and clams (with pearls).

it's very symbolic: when i see it, it reminds me to value the small things in life, even if they are shrimps in comparison to the other things.

"Pregnant and Widowed" originally was not meant to contain a spider. this is a female praying mantis and a female black widow, both of whom have recently been impregnated and eaten their sexual partner.

very symbolic of women; one second they are your friend, the next second, they are cannibals and eat your head off first then the rest of your body.

wharton

today i skipped school and went to wharton at upenn.
first of all i got to sleep in which was awesome.
then i got to drive all alone which was even more awesome.
so i got there like 15 minutes early. so i awkwardly went to the book store to kill time and pretended to look at stuff lol.
so then it was 10:20 and i walked to steinberg-dietrich hall and met up with lawrence. after quickly introducing ourselves, we went to intro to finance. pretty interesting stuff about corporate finances and it didnt seem too complex. (lawrence somehow managed to read the newspaper while taking notes.) i wish i was in college. people were texting and trading stocks, and so much more relaxed than stupid high school.
then we went to huntsman hall because he had to print out notes for his econ class.
we went to a korean food cart for lunch. i got some beef yaki soba and a spicy tuna onigiri (https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2tTJ6MkWBoNtUOGtkS_uVQmuFq3Z0gVk4d46XY42LzW_buFjQG08iAQ29dBkUnHT8UlhZbIsIUu_02xBdZFXlZKphEFPOQJK1uqTne4-WIWjwlMZyZgj1JLKpHIs6UrRtIxr58MP0SH-y/s1600/Onigiri+5.jpeg)  they are so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
also joe biden was going to talk, so there was secret service and swat team all over the place lol. as i was peeing in a bathroom, a few of them walked in and started checking everything. they looked under urinals and inside toilet paper rolls haha. and then they closed down the bathrooms for five minutes.
we walked around a little bit and then went to intermediate macroeconomics....
i usually get a little tired after i eat lunch. (i wish america had siestas) this class was soooooo boring. it just had a bunch of equations with weird letters. but the professor had a really funny spanish accent. he was passing back tests and he couldnt pronounce any of the people's names haha until he got to roberto santiago, which he pronounced perfectly. also everytime he said any "r," he rolled it... i wish i could do that.
so after that class finally ended, lawrence had to go to talk with joe biden so we parted ways. i chatted for a few minutes with his frat brother and then drove home.
when i got home i finished my rough draft of my college essay and then did a bunch of homework i was supposed to do last night. ate dinner, and now im blogging for the first time in centuries.
well that was my day, goodbye world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

omg i hate school so much

This past week:
Monday: I LOVE E DAYS! NO ENGLISH OR SPANISH AKA MY LEAST FAVE 2 CLASSES.
oh and also i got my euro summer assignment back and got a 95 NBD.  and monday night was my first night at pennington swimming again! it felt so good to finally exercise again lmao
Tuesday: probably the longest day of the week. A days are the worst because i have every single class and then i had marching band and then i sped all the way to swimming. and THEN when i got home i had to make myself dinner and then i had to do stupid english homework.
Wednesday: I didn't do any homework after marching band and instead just sat around on facebook all night and it felt so awesome. oh and i learned the vocals to "here it goes again" by OK Go for contemporary music studio lol.....
Thursday: again a very long day with marching band and then swimming.  and again i did no homework at night lol....
Friday: i presented here it goes again in class with my group and some of the comments were "the vocals were the best part" and "i loved how you incorporated the audience into your performance" and "i loved that you kept smiling" NBD IM GONNA BE A VOCALIST WHEN I GROW UP. I DONT THINK ANYONE REALIZES THAT I CAN ALSO PLAY PIANO LOL. IVE NEVER SUNG BEFORE IN MY LIFE. except in my shower.
and then friday night was filled with fun sat prep ... kinda
Saturday: stupid football game. we were so close to winning!!!! for once!!!!!! but we unfortunately still lost lmfao. and the rain and mud made it so we couldnt actually perform our show so we just played on the track. but the other band did pre-game and it was soooo awesome. they are actually traditional and they are actually huge! but i still like ours better :) and then after the game i went home for like 30 minutes and then went to EMT and was planning on getting homework done, but ended not getting ANY done at alll!!!! first i had to do stupid rig checks with my friend shabib since it was his first day so that he could learn where everything was in the back of the ambulance and then we had a fire call! it was my first ever fire call and this person's house was smoking like crazy and there were around 10+ police cars, and 8-9 firetrucks there and we were the only ambulance lol. and we stayed for fucking 2 hours doing nothing except handing out water. and then i went home and speed-ate dinner and went to lizanne's. and we went to her friend kiara's house for partying except my asian parents wanted me home super early and i didnt even get to party... so disappointing.
Sunday: homework................................................ i hate my life. but also blogging!!!! so exciting!!!!!!!! im so hip!!!!!!

Ice cream conundrum

i was going to eat ice cream before i brushed my teeth but the allure of more blogging made me give up ice cream tonight. this is scary.  in economics, this means that the opportunity cost of missing blogging time is greater than that of eating ice cream.  EATING ICE CREAM HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?
