Art Works - Jan 2012

as you can tell from the blog post's title, these are masterpieces of art created by myself. when i become a viral internet sensation, you can tell everyone that you knew about me before i became famous (like Justin Bieber).

this artwork is titled "Splat." it is my rendition of a giant squid inking.

some have asked why he is inking? what is scaring him?
truthfully, it's your face.

i like to call this work "Electric Relaxation" (courtesy of Ethan Whitener).

no, for the millionth time, it is not an attempt to copy "Jellyfish Fields" from Spongebob in any way. it's just a bunch of jellyfish in a kelp field.

this is the first of two snake illustrations. this was supposed to be an anaconda in the jungle when i first started drawing, but that didnt really happen.

notice the fungi on the tree--such beautiful detail.

no, this is not the garden of eden. it's just a snake in a tree staring down a purple bird.

this is a beautiful image of my other snake drawing, a diamondback eating a lizard comfortably under the shade of a red rock in Arizona.

take note of the intense saguaro on the left.

the setting was slightly inspired by 127 hours.

"Under the Sea" is an image of smaller creatures in the sea that are often overlooked, such as shrimp, seahorses, sea stars, sea urchins, and clams (with pearls).

it's very symbolic: when i see it, it reminds me to value the small things in life, even if they are shrimps in comparison to the other things.

"Pregnant and Widowed" originally was not meant to contain a spider. this is a female praying mantis and a female black widow, both of whom have recently been impregnated and eaten their sexual partner.

very symbolic of women; one second they are your friend, the next second, they are cannibals and eat your head off first then the rest of your body.
